Lightbulb Thinking ahead to the holidays...

Aargh! Here's a thought... Wintersday is celebrated in Tyria... EotN is in Tyria, so we can expect Wintersday there at least at the Eye of the North itself with it's Tyrian population. That being that... we can also expect collectors there to exchange goodies for items, such as...

Such as...

Such as what?

Berserker horns maybe? Vaettir essences?

Time to stop selling things off...

Focus on Halloween, Wintersday is still far away.

Nah, sorry Msecorsky. They cancelled Wintersday in EotN. It seems they were a tad upset over us massacring several million snowmen.

Wintersday '07 - The Snowmens' Revenge!

Of course... you have to wonder if the lair will be empty come that time...

And the reason I bring this up is that folks might want to consider collecting collectibles now. Just in case.

Happy Halloween!

and the point of speculating about something that may or may not happen is? wouldn't it be wiser to actually wait and see what info is released so you know what to keep and what not too? Hell we dont even know for sure if the halloween items are the same or if they added some, much less wintersday....

Honestly ill laugh my ass off at the guy who collects 1k berserker horns and spends hours farming them only to find out they aren't used and he collected them out of pure speculation.

I've been, from the start, collecting collectibles which can be traded for 15^50 weapons, +30 inscribable shields, and consumables. it takes up almost a full storage box, and keeping everything is just crazy. wait and see what will happen in Halloween.

Even if they will not be used, they can still be traded for 15^50 long/recurve bows / swords / scythes / daggers, and +30hp str/command/motivation shields. with no doubt, the best collectable in gw:en after the ones you trade for armor.

I got laughed at for collecting Grawl Necklaces before the first Wintersday event. No one laughed after selling CC's for 1k a piece and becoming a very rich man.

Maybe the Mad King only visits Tyria and Kamadan?

There's actually at least a good excuse if ANet keep both festivals to the above cities - the Asura, Norn and Charr don't worship the Five Gods the way humans do, and the Eye is a war camp - at least Ascalon still contains SOME civilians.

As for the Mad King - I don't think any of the EOTN territories were part of, allied with, or otherwise connected to his domain, so why would he be interested in them?

Canadians come shop in America and ruin my life in retail.

Just kidding. But their holidays are always on the same days as they are in America. Always more Canadian shoppers than American ones. I think Canadians dislike picnics

ON TOPIC: I'm excited for this time of year. I hope they do something in EotN

That's not true. Isn't American thanksgiving in November? Oh wait thats right, its in October in Canada. Hmmm, doesn't seem like its even in the same month, or am I wrong? Also, Canadians live in America.

Calm down, I was only kidding. A majority of Canadian holidays are on or near US holidays (excuse me for saying America, it's not like I intended it as an elitist thing)
